Dear Friend,

I have spent more than forty years inside the luxury shoe industry. I began in Milan, at Gucci. I continued at Giorgio Armani. I spent twenty-six years building Bally across Southeast Asia -- thirty stores, thousands of clients, and one persistent truth that no one in the industry wanted to acknowledge.

The shoes did not fit.

Not because the craftsmen were careless. The Italian ateliers I worked with were extraordinary -- their leather, their construction, their lasts, were among the finest objects I have ever held. The problem was simpler and more fundamental: nobody knew your foot. Every shoe was built for an abstraction. A statistical average. A number on a chart that had nothing to do with the geometry of the person standing in front of me.

I watched clients compromise for decades. They bought a size too large to accommodate width. They wore insoles to compensate for volume. They broke in shoes that should have fit from the first step. They accepted discomfort as the price of elegance.

I did not accept it.

ALODD began as an answer to one question: what if the shoe was calculated for you before it was made?

Not approximated. Not adjusted after the fact. Calculated. Four measurements -- Length, Standing Girth, Vertical Girth, Instep -- entered into a system that selects your precise last from a database of twenty-three lasts and eight width profiles, calibrated across three Italian suppliers whose craftsmen have been building shoes for generations.

The Phygital Fit Engine is not a gimmick. It is the application of forty years of pattern recognition to a problem that the industry has never solved because the industry has never tried. Mass production requires approximation. ALODD requires precision.

Every shoe in the ALODD collection is made in Italy. Blake construction, Bologna construction, Montebello construction -- methods refined over a century, executed by hands that know nothing else. Box calf, nappa, kangaroo, buffalo -- materials chosen for what they do to a foot over years, not for how they photograph.

We do not hold inventory. We do not warehouse approximations hoping they will fit someone. We make what you order, in the size the engine calculates, on the last your measurements select. Six to eight weeks from order to delivery. One pair, made for one person.

This is not a new idea. This is how shoes were made before factories decided that speed was more important than fit. We have simply brought precision back -- and given it a calculation engine that no artisan in 1920 could have imagined.
