ALODD SHOES - Italian Craft - Singapore

The Craft is Our Language

Every ALODD shoe begins as an idea measured in millimetres and ends as an object measured in years. Between these two moments: the hands of Italian artisans and a last built for you alone.

We do not make shoes. We make certainties -- that what arrives was constructed for the precise geometry of your foot, in Italy, by hands that have done nothing else for a generation.

-- Aldo Lipari, Founder & CEO

The ALODD Constructions

Three Methods. One Standard.

01

Blake Construction

Classica - The Foundation

A single machine stitch connects the insole, upper, and outsole in one continuous pass. The result is a shoe of extraordinary slimness and flexibility - the silhouette of formal elegance without the weight of traditional Goodyear construction.

  • Thinner profile - preferred by Italian dress shoe masters
  • Lighter than Goodyear by approximately 40%
  • Used on 28 of the 39 ALODD models

02

Bologna Construction

Tubolare - The Sculptor's Method

The upper is shaped into a tube around the last. The foot rests on a single layer of leather. Bologna construction produces the most pliant shoe in existence. Wearing it is indistinguishable from wearing nothing.

  • Zero insole board - the foot contacts pure leather
  • The choice for loafers, slip-ons, and driver shoes
  • Used on 7 ALODD models

03

Montebello Construction

Californiana - The Modern Method

A California variation in which the upper is folded and stitched to a soft insole. Accepts contemporary rubber soles without aesthetic compromise - the construction that allows fine Italian craft to inhabit a modern shoe.

  • Accepts EVA and rubber soles without visual bulk
  • Preferred for the ALODD Comfort and Superflex lines
  • Used on 4 ALODD models

The Materials

Nothing that does not belong.

Every material in an ALODD shoe is chosen for what it does to the foot over years. Calf leather that breathes. Kangaroo leather that weighs nothing. Buffalo leather that develops a patina no factory can reproduce. The lining is always leather.

The Last

The Object That Makes the Shoe

Before a single piece of leather is cut, the last exists. A wooden form sculpted to the exact measurements of a human foot around which every ALODD shoe is built. The Phygital Fit Engine translates your four measurements into a last selection: 23 lasts, 8 width profiles. The shoe does not guess. It knows.
